Protection and Controls Commissioning Intermediate is an interactive seminar designed to teach relay technicians new techniques and approaches to protection systems commissioning. The course is aimed at assistant level technicians wanting to progress their skills to the next level. The course combines lectures, group activities, and hands-on testing in our on-site relay lab. Our lab contains relay panels, SCADA equipment, and breaker simulators, allowing attendees to execute real world testing and commissioning tasks. This class focuses on instrument transformer circuit testing, DC functional testing, SCADA check-out, and system start-up procedures.
Note: This seminar does not cover relay element testing, test plan creation or relay logic testing. Those topics and activities are covered in depth in our Relay Testing Intermediate seminar.
