Relay Testing and Commissioning Basic is an interactive seminar designed to teach relay technicians and electrical systems commissioners the basics of protective relay testing and protection systems commissioning. The course is aimed at personnel between 6 months and 2 years of related experience but can be taught to those just entering the field. The course includes lectures, group activities, and hands-on experience with protection system equipment. It focuses on fundamentals such as power math, phasors, and symmetrical components and offers a strong foundation in protection system design, commissioning plans, and strategic relay testing and troubleshooting.
